first film

love notes to 16

Our first film reveals the life that would have been missed following a suicide attempt at 16.

It moves between present-day moments and reflections spoken to a younger self in the moments she questioned staying, blending poetic storytelling with an interview.

Currently in early production. Funding supports professional completion and film festival submission.

short film series

Expanding the concept of our first film across multiple perspectives, revealing what would have been missed through the stories of 8–10 women who have lived through suicidal thoughts or attempts.

Each story moves between present-day life and reflections spoken to a younger self in the moments they questioned staying, blending poetic storytelling with an interview.

Currently seeking sponsorship for production.

podcast

An extension of SheStayed’s storytelling.

The series features women speaking to the realities of mental health across experiences such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and suicidal thoughts.

It also brings in experts across disciplines to examine how mental health connects to their work, providing deeper context and perspective.

Currently awaiting funding and production support.

global expansion

Our next phase extends into regions where speaking about suicidal thoughts or attempts carries social and cultural risk and is often unsafe to discuss openly.

In these environments, these experiences often remain hidden, without space to be acknowledged or shared, creating limited access to support.

Our goal is to create conditions where women can speak openly, without fear of consequence.

By gathering stories from women around the world, we shift how these experiences are seen, understood, and held across cultures.
